A study on appropriate hand-washing time for the application of medical asepsis

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to know the change of the colony in hands after hand-washing.
As the object of the experiments for this study, 179 students were divided into 6 groups each of which was composed of 30 students.
In these experiments different kinds of detergents and different time were applied to each group respectively.
Each student printed her hands on the nutrient agar plate before and after washing hands in order to examine the change of the colony.
The result is as follows, when the common detergent was used there happened a significant change in the state of colony after 30-second scrub and 30-second rinse.
But when the antibacterial detergent applied, a great change came out after 15-second scrub and 15-second rinse.
Accordingly it is apparent that the antibacterial detergent is more efficient in lessening the colony in hands the common detergent.
